Set your sights high
Just high enough
And you will see God

Set your sights high
Just high up there
And the little slights of daily living will cease to bother you

Set your sights high
Just a tiny little effort
To take it higher up than usual
And you will see where the mountain tops merge with the beginning of the sky

The azure blue sight . . .
The cool soothing breeze . . .
Clear untainted air – purity
Far above the earthly scrambling

No more bent disapproving faces
That condemn what cannot be understood
No more derisive laughter
Hear no more the snickering whispers
Or the jealousy-birthed gossip

Set your sights high
Oh! Just a little bit higher
Why not set them on God?
